The finalists of the "3rd Annual Grade 8 Rotary Essay Contest" were announced by the Okanagan Mission Rotary Club. Students were invited to write about how the Rotary "Four Way Test" related to them; Is it the truth? Is it fair to all? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? First place entrant, Logan Bakker (KLO Middle School) wrote about how dreams and goal setting relates to the tenet of "being beneficial to all". Pauline Schrott (KLO Middle School) placed second and third went to Brayden Johnstone, also of KLO Middle School. Two honourable mentions were received by Jennica Sedmak of Rutland Middle School and James Ryan of KLO Middle School. Kudos to the Okanagan Mission Rotary Club for their continued support of student writing and their generous financial awards....
